Together with our partners in the tourism sector, IDM develop products and offers for six predefined travel themes.
Product development is one of the key principles of IDM’s tourism marketing approach and is a source of impetus for the evolution of tourism in South Tyrol. We provide our partners with support in the development of products and offers and align them with the core values of the South Tyrol brand - first and foremost, by raising awareness of the topic of sustainability.
Our main tasks
Six travel themes, one lifestyle
After having weighed up the various travel theme options, it is the guest who decides where to spend his or her holidays. Travel themes are the experiences which a guest would like to engage in during holidays; over the past few years, the travel themes in South Tyrol have changed very little, which is an indication that the demands of tourists to South Tyrol have, essentially, remained the same.
Based on market research findings, South Tyrol has defined the following six travel themes:
- Relaxation and wellness
- Eating and drinking
- City and culture
- Skiing and winter
- Cycling and cycling tourism
- Hiking and mountaineering
These travel themes are mirrored in our communications, events and tourism offers, and come together to create the South Tyrolean lifestyle.
