Meet South Tyrol: With this slogan, IDM presents South Tyrol as a MICE destination both in the core markets of Italy, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and in a variety of international markets. An acronym of Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions, ‘MICE’ defines the exceptionally lucrative markets of business tourism and the conference industry. Its greatest potential lies in the incentive industry and in meetings with no more than 100 people, combined with experiences in the countryside of South Tyrol.
MICE is a niche market which is advantageous not only to the hotel and catering industry, but to all related sectors: event organisers, conference halls, historic building with conference facilities, and catering and transport companies. MICE tourism enables South Tyrol to breathe new life into off-peak seasons and to reach new client segments: companies, organisations, offices and associations that organise conferences or trips for their staff.
